In-Person Workshops
The Centre of Excellence in-person workshops combine theoretical content with hands-on skills stations, providing the learner with an opportunity to translate new pediatric knowledge into practice.
The in-person workshops will provide frontline staff with the following:
- Hands-on practice using pediatric-size training mannikins, to build knowledge and skills for pediatric care.
- Current pediatric best practices, and helpful tricks and tips.
- An open learning environment with opportunities to ask questions, connect with other community providers, and share experiences.
- An engaging and wholesome learning experience. These competency-based workshops will prepare health care providers with the knowledge and skills required to care for children in the community.
To improve access to education, Kids Come First is pleased to announce that the CHEO Nurse Educator travels throughout the Champlain; making it easier for frontline staff to attend these in-person workshops. After hours sessions can be arranged by special request.
Four locations across the region include Ottawa (CHEO), Cornwall, Kanata, and Pembroke.
