Meet Tania from Le Cap, one of our partners

Posted on Thursday, February 02, 2023 06:48 AM

A message from our 1Call1Click.ca Steering Committee co-chair and partner, Tania

"I am proud that the 1Call1Click.ca team really listened to young people and their parents, in order to better understand their experiences in our health care system, and look to rethink our practices. It goes without saying that 1Call1Click.ca is a young program that is currently building its capacity. Meet Steph, one of our youth advisors

Steph grew up in the town of Newmarket, Ontario as the youngest of three siblings. Their father worked as a primary school teacher and mother as a volunteer and vibrant member of the community.

As a child, Steph enjoyed dance, musical theatre and played ringette for many years. In grade nine, a switch to a tiny school and difficult new friendships brought inner sadness to the forefront. Bullied, depressed and engaging in self-harm, Steph says that they...

Lifting Spirits with Halloween Baking

Posted on Thursday, February 02, 2023 06:02 AM

For as long as they can remember, Hallie and Josie, now high school seniors, have found baking to be a helpful way to exercise their creativity and manage both academic and life-related stress. Together, they choose new recipes and love the opportunity to connect, laugh and anticipate upcoming holidays. Treats often go to friends and others in need of a boost which spreads the good feelings, and icing, even further. Recently the two met, and were joined by siblings, to make easy and delicious...
